out-of-towner (dismissive)
Literally 'a jar', from the jars of home food people bring back from their parents'. Especially associated with Warsaw, though understood more broadly. It is dismissive and class-coded - a put-down rather than a joke - so it is better recognised than actively used.
W weekend miasto jest puste, słoiki wyjechały do domu.
On weekends the city empties out, the 'jars' went home.

to drop by / roll up
Aspect pair: wbijać / wbić
Literally 'to hammer in'. Arriving somewhere casually.
Mogę do ciebie wbić po pracy?
Can I drop by yours after work?
ustawka
an arranged fight / a staged set-up
Careful: for most Poles 'ustawka' first means an arranged fight between rival football fans. Outside that sense it describes something staged or rigged - a media or political set-up. It is never a neutral word for meeting friends: for that say 'umawiamy się', 'spotykamy się' or 'spotkanie'.
Policja spodziewała się ustawki kibiców.
The police expected an arranged fight between football fans.

a wild party
A heavy night out or big party.
To był niezły melanż, nic nie pamiętam.
That was a wild party, I remember nothing.

house party
A party at someone's flat rather than a club.
Robimy domówkę w sobotę, wpadniesz?
We're throwing a house party Saturday, coming?

a hangover
The base word. Pairs with 'mieć' - 'mam kaca'.
Mam dziś straszliwego kaca.
I've got a terrible hangover today.

out in town
Out and about in the city. 'Spotkajmy się na mieście.'
Zjedzmy coś na mieście.
Let's grab something to eat out in town.

Aspect pair: lecieć / polecieć
To head out quickly. 'Muszę lecieć' = gotta run.
Muszę lecieć, mam autobus.
I've got to run, my bus is coming.
spadać
to bounce / head off
To leave. 'Spadam' = I'm out of here.
Spadam, robi się późno.
I'm off, it's getting late.
